There's no place like home for Allen, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the McKinney Boyd Broncos on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Broncos are ranked 64th).

Allen is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8-4 record this season. McKinney Boyd's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4-3.

Looking ahead, Allen will square off against Plano East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Plano East's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for McKinney Boyd, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Princeton at 7:30 p.m.
