Softball Recap: Corinth Has No Trouble Against Hatley

While Corinth put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Hatley. Everything went the Corinth Warriors' way against the Hatley Tigers as the Corinth Warriors made off with a 12-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 12 runs.

Kinley Pittman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Corinth got a big performance out of McKinley Moore, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Alyssa Settlemires also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Corinth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Corinth now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hatley, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Corinth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Itawamba Agricultural on the 1st. As for Hatley, they will take on New Site at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be New Site's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
