Soccer Recap: Crosstown Comes Up Short

Crosstown entered their game against Memphis Central on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Explorers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. If Crosstown were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Memphis Central when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Crosstown's goal came courtesy of Joan Marquez, who's now up to ten this season.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-3-2. As for Memphis Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

Crosstown will be playing in front of their home fans against Overton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memphis Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
