Basketball Recap: Palisades Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Palisades Pirates were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to the Kutztown Cougars. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Palisades saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lincoln Cook went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Cook has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blake Oglialoro, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Palisades' record is now 3-18. As for Kutztown, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

Palisades has already played their next contest (against Saucon Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kutztown has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Pequea Valley.
