Volleyball Recap: Conestoga Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Conestoga, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Conestoga had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-17, 25-14.

Maggie Fiene paced Conestoga's offense, picking up 14 kills. Fiene got some help from Ayla Garrett and her 14 assists. Lorelai Fader controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Despite the loss, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hannah Schlueter had 18 digs. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Schlueter. Riley Jackson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Conestoga pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Conestoga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Arlington on the 25th. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they will face off against Louisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
