Soccer Game Preview: Shawnee vs. Nathan Hale

The Shawnee Wolves will face off against the Nathan Hale Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Shawnee fell victim to Bishop Kelley and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 11-0. Shawnee have struggled against Bishop Kelley recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Nathan Hale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Coweta. While losing is never fun, Nathan Hale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Coweta are ranked 35th).

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Nathan Hale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Shawnee's way against Nathan Hale in their previous matchup back in April of 2017, as Shawnee made off with a 6-0 victory. Will Wolves repeat their success, or do the Rangers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
