Soccer Game Preview: Artesia vs. Norwalk

The Artesia Pioneers will head out to take on the Norwalk Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Artesia is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Artesia is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Orange on Monday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Artesia have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Norwalk was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of Gahr by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for Norwalk in their meetings with Gahr: they've now lost five in a row.

Artesia now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Norwalk, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Artesia skirted past Norwalk 2-1 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
