Basketball Game Preview: Satellite Scorpions vs. Brevard Christian War Eagles

Satellite is on a three-game streak of home losses, Brevard Christian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Satellite Scorpions will welcome the Brevard Christian War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Satellite saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Shore.

Meanwhile, Brevard Christian came up short against Florida Prep on Friday, falling 67-45.

Satellite will need focus on slowing down Gabriel Mitchell, one of several Brevard Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Mitchell is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brendan Whitney, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals.

Satellite's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Brevard Christian, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Satellite didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Brevard Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Mitchell, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds.
