Volleyball Recap: Newaygo Takes a Loss

Newaygo lost against Calvin Christian back in August of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Squires.

Ruby Hughes paced Newaygo's offense, picking up nine kills. Hughes got some help from Grace Hughes and her 15 assists.

Newaygo's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Calvin Christian, they pushed their record up to 10-7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Newaygo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kent City on the 4th. As for Calvin Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Zion Christian on the 4th.
