Basketball Recap: Beresford Comes Up Short

Beresford lost against Vermillion back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beresford Watchdogs took a blow against the Vermillion Tanagers, falling 61-34. The game marked the Watchdogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Beresford and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Vermillion, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Beresford has already played their next matchup (against Alcester-Hudson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vermillion will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sioux Falls Christian at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Vermillion comes in on four and Sioux Falls Christian on 16.
