Football Recap: Plainview Gets the Win

Plainview won the last time they faced Bells and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians slipped by the Panthers 35-34. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 66th in Oklahoma, while the Panthers are ranked 397th in Texas) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Bells lost, don't look at Jaxon Brown. Despite the final result, he rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns.

Plainview has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 27.0 points this season. As for Bells, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainview will square off against Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bells, they will face off against Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
