League recap: Pleasant Valley climbs in state rankings

Pleasant Valley scaled the state rankings by moving to 514 from 564 this week, the biggest jump in Eastern. The Vikings climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Shasta 7-6.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Enterprise beat Foothill 56-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Hornets.

Enterprise's dynamic duo of Bobby Luken and Jordan Deppe proved to be unstoppable against the Cougars, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Luken threw for 50 yards and 2 touchdowns and Deppe had 47 yards receiving. Alex Talladino helped Enterprise's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 43 yards.

Jonathon Dixon was a passing and rushing force as Paradise defeated Chico. Dixon's favorite target this week was Nick Klein, who caught 2 passes for 23 yards.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Izzy Perea. The Enterprise star has 14 catches for 393 yards.

The Wolves are in second place, while the Bobcats are in fourth place.

Foothill lost to Darren Trueblood's team 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
