Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Juan Gonzalez stepped things up a notch to give Concord the 'W'. Gonzalez rushed for 164 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, which was good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards.

Looking ahead, Gonzalez and Concord will take on Irvington at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will enter the matchup having just beaten Mt. Eden, so the Bears will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
