Sands Dougherty put up the most passer rating he's had since back in November of 2024 on Friday. He threw for 451 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 346 passing yards.

Dougherty and Morro Bay will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cabrillo at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The match will pit Dougherty up against the Conquistadores' star quarterback Gabriel Barraza. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
