Parsippany Hills (Parsippany, N.J.) scored 21 points in the third quarter to secure a big 35-6 victory over
West Morris Mendham (Mendham, N.J.) on Saturday.
The Vikings scored on a touchdown run by
Carmine Verducci, a defensive touchdown and a
Angelo Gallego touchdown run in the quarter.
Parsippany Hills was up 14-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter.
PH expanded its lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. The Parsippany school scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
Verducci played well for the Vikings in the victory. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The Minutemen's lone touchdown came on a run in the first quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-14 win for Parsippany Hills.
West Morris Mendham (0-2) will play a Northwest Jersey - National game against Randolph next week, while Parsippany Hills (2-0) will take on Roxbury also in a Northwest Jersey - National game.
