Basketball Recap: Hampton County Skates Past Barnwell with Ease

Hampton County came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Barnwell Warhorses to the tune of 66-39. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Darius Brooks, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 31 points and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Tyler Davis was another key player, going 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points.

Hampton County's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Barnwell, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Hampton County will take on Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hampton County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season. As for Barnwell, they will head out to face off against Edisto at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
