Basketball Recap: Torrance Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Torrance entered their tilt with Monrovia on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 76-69 win over the Monrovia Wildcats. Given the Tartars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 758th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Torrance's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Monrovia, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Torrance won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lynwood at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Monrovia and Burbank will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
