Softball Recap: Mount Mercy Academy's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Mount Mercy Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Mary's Lancers, falling 16-6. The match marked the Magic's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mount Mercy Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Jahn, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Grace Colin was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Mercy Academy fell to 4-1. As for St. Mary's, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Mount Mercy Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-6 win against Nichols on the 29th. As for St. Mary's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Sacred Heart Academy on the 29th.
