Basketball Recap: Thomas Stone Drops Season-High Score on Calvert

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thomas Stone). They breezed by the Calvert Cavaliers to the tune of 65-37 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Brayden Brown, who went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Bryce Harvey was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points.

Thomas Stone was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Thomas Stone's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Calvert, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-18-1.

Thomas Stone won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake Clifton at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvert, they will square off against Chopticon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvert is facing Chopticon at the right time seeing as Chopticon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
