Soccer Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Southlake Carroll Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in January.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Southlake Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-1 record this season.

Northwest will take on Byron Nelson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Southlake Carroll, they will face off against Bell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southlake Carroll's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Bell's offense will have their work cut out for them.
