Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs vs. Rock Hills Grizzlies
The Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rock Hills by a score of 45-36. That's another feather in the cap for Sylvan-Lucas, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Rock Hills still got an impressive performance from Cooper McDill, who scored 22 points along with three steals and two blocks. That was a full 61.1% of Rock Hills' points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Justin Luong was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Sylvan-Lucas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Rock Hills, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylvan-Lucas will take on the Longhorns at TBD on Friday. As for Rock Hills, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lakeside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday.
