Vanguard entered their tilt with Lecanto on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took down the Panthers 20-3. 20 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Vanguard got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Terrance Lewis out in front who rushed for 95 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Sergarion Gunsby was in the mix too, providing the Knights with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Vanguard was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Vanguard's record is now 5-1. As for Lecanto, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Vanguard has already played their next matchup, a 48-7 win against North Marion on the 3rd. As for Lecanto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 47-0 victory against Citrus on the 3rd.
