Marshall County barely beat Mayfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Marshals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 14-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Marshals, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Marshall County, bringing their record up to 22-10. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mayfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Marshall County nor Mayfield have any future games scheduled.
