While Kermit's victory against Anthony wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Kermit sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 win over Anthony on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Anthony Gallardo was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Ian Bejarano was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

The win got Kermit back to even at 7-7. As for Anthony, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12-1.

Coincidentally, Kermit and Anthony will both be playing Presidio the next time they take the field. Kermit will head out to face Presidio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Anthony will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
