Baseball Game Preview: Lake Mills Bulldogs vs. West Hancock Eagles

The Lake Mills Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the West Hancock Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither Lake Mills nor West Hancock posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Lake Mills is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Forest City just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for West Hancock's offense. They came up short against Bishop Garrigan on Friday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Golden Bears: they've now lost eight in a row.

West Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lake Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Lake Mills beat West Hancock 3-0 in their previous meeting back in May. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
