Softball Game Preview: Glasgow Dragons vs. McKean Highlanders

For the first time this season, Glasgow will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the McKean Highlanders at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Glasgow is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight games dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 17-3 to Elkton.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, McKean was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Concord, falling 20-1. The Highlanders have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

McKean's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Glasgow, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Glasgow's way against McKean in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Glasgow made off with a 17-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
