Marion County can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Chattanooga Central Pounders. Considering the Warriors have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Reese Saylors was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Pryor, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Marion County's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Chattanooga Central, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-8-1.
Marion County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Bledsoe County on the 1st. As for Chattanooga Central, they will host Red Bank at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
