Recap: V.R. Eaton Eagles vs. Haltom Buffalos
The V.R. Eaton Eagles were the 42-7 winner over the Haltom Buffalos when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. V.R. Eaton and Haltom were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but V.R. Eaton suffered an agonizing 35-34 loss. V.R. Eaton gained 239 more yards on the day, but it was Haltom that made the best of use of them.
Despite the loss, V.R. Eaton still got an impressive performance from Noah Lugo, who rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 178 yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Vudrico Roberson, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Roberson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Devan Ramirez Powell also helped out as he racked up 123 rushing yards.
V.R. Eaton are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5. As for Haltom, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
V.R. Eaton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. Byron Nelson is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Haltom, they will head out on the road to face off against Keller on Thursday. Keller presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Haltom in Texas (Keller is ranked 99th, while Haltom is ranked 284th).
