Basketball Recap: Brookland-Cayce Takes a Loss

Brookland-Cayce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Midland Valley Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-39 back in December of 2024.

Brookland-Cayce's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Midland Valley, the win snapped their losing streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

Brookland-Cayce will square off against Gray Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Midland Valley has already played their next contest (against Airport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
