Soccer Game Preview: Huffman vs. Clay-Chalkville

Huffman is 0-4 against Clay-Chalkville since April of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Vikings will head out to take on the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Huffman is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Mountain Brook on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, Huffman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Mountain Brook are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Clay-Chalkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Pell City, falling 4-0. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Clay-Chalkville struggled afterwards.

Clay-Chalkville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Huffman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
