Baseball Recap: Mahopac Comes Up Short

Mahopac might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Walter Panas who claimed the real prize. The Wolf Pac fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7. The Wolf Pac haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Drew Lichtenberger led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Cataldo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Mahopac's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Walter Panas, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Coming up, Mahopac will take on Hendrick Hudson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walter Panas, they will face off against Pleasantville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pleasantville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
