Basketball Recap: Lake Central Gets the Win

Lake Central won the last time they faced Hammond Central, and Noah Enyeart did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lake Central Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hammond Central Wolves 55-53 thanks to Enyeart, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gregory Dotson, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cylin Pointer, who posted ten points.

Lake Central's record now sits at 7-12. As for Hammond Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Lake Central will challenge Crown Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crown Point's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Hammond Central, they will take on Calumet New Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hammond Central is facing Calumet New Tech at the right time seeing as Calumet New Tech is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
