The Anna Coyotes will head out on the road to take on the Memorial Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Anna's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
Anna took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-17 win over Denison. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Coyotes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 321st).

A big part of Anna's victory came down to the chemistry between Ziondre Williams and his top target Ace Traylor. Williams threw for 235 yards and three TDs while Traylor gained 141 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Williams posted three rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.
Anna didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Israel Johnson and Dre Young. Young got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Memorial hadn't done well against Liberty recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Redhawks 31-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since September 19, 2024.
Anna better keep an eye on Becket Martin. He was instrumental in Memorial's win, rushing for 160 yards.
Memorial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Anna's record now sits at 6-2. As for Memorial, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.
Thursday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Anna has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 152.6 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Memorial, though, as they've been averaging only 84.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Anna against Memorial when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-14 win. In that game, the Coyotes amassed a halftime lead of 55-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
