Volleyball Recap: Flanagan-Cornell Falcons vs. Woodland Warriors
Flanagan-Cornell gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Woodland Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Falcons were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Falcons were just returning the favor.
Flanagan-Cornell never let Woodland on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-4.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flanagan-Cornell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emme Wallace, who had seven digs and four aces. What's more, Wallace posted four kills, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Highland, who had seven kills, four blocks, and two aces.
Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Flanagan-Cornell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Streator/Woodland on the 26th. As for Woodland, they will head out to square off against Prairie Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
