Baseball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Brighton fell victim to Prairie View and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunderhawks. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Thunderhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Prairie View, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brighton will head out to challenge Vista PEAK Prep at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Prairie View, they will head out on the road to square off against Chaparral at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
