Canyon Springs piles up the points against Excelsior Charter

The Canyon Springs Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Excelsior Charter 88-17 on the road. That 88-17 margin sets a new team best for Canyon Springs this season.

Derek Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Mims, who scored 11 points along with four steals.

Canyon Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Excelsior Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Canyon Springs won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walnut at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Walnut is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Excelsior Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mountain View at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. Mountain View is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
