Wapahani won the last time they faced New Castle and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wapahani Raiders strolled past the New Castle Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Wapahani got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emily Luce out in front who went 6 of 14 on her way to 20 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. Those 20 points gave Luce a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Carpenter, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Carlee Lanzer and Piper Arthur certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Lanzer posted 11 points, while Arthur put up nine points and three steals.

Wapahani is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for New Castle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Wapahani will take on Daleville in a tournament on January 16th. As for New Castle, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-44 loss against Eastern Hancock on the 14th.
