Recap: Arickaree Bison vs. Denver Waldorf Spartans

The Arickaree Bison entered their tilt with the Denver Waldorf Spartans with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Arickaree managed a 56-52 win over Denver Waldorf on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arickaree also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Arickaree's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but DILLON NOLETUBBY led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. JAKE KING was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Vullings, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 rebounds and nine blocks. Vullings is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Quinn, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Arickaree pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Denver Waldorf, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Arickaree will head out on the road to challenge Kiowa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Denver Waldorf, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Addenbrooke Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Denver Waldorf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
