Basketball Recap: Buffalo Piles Up the Points Against Newcastle

Buffalo waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 66-39 victory over the Newcastle Dogies. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-11.

Buffalo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Konnor Rodriguez, who posted eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Rodriguez a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Brady Engling, who went 6 for 8 en route to 13 points.

Buffalo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Newcastle, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
