Softball Recap: Cabrillo Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Cabrillo's offense. They came up short against the St. Joseph Knights on Wednesday, falling 7-0. The Conquistadores haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for St. Joseph, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cabrillo is set to square off against their familiar foe Mission College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will face off against rival Righetti at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.4, the Warriors 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
