Soccer Recap: Flatirons Academy Starts Season with Win at Home

Flatirons Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They never let the Telluride Miners get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Flatirons Academy pulled away in the second half with four goals.

They hit Telluride with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lizzy Helgeson (2), Charlotte Barron, Ruby Notebloom, and Audrey Kingery.

Telluride now has a losing record of 1-2.

Flatirons Academy has already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Denver Christian on the 22nd. As for Telluride, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lamar on the 22nd.
