Baseball Recap: Easton Area's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Phillipsburg hit Easton Area with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rovers fell 9-6 to the Stateliners. The Rovers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stateliners from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Chase Shollenberger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kurtis Crossman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Easton Area's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Phillipsburg, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

Coming up, Easton Area will head out to face off against Nazareth Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
