Football Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Foothill was the 21-14 winner over Fairfield when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs were dealt a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Falcons on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryan Madrigal threw for 82 yards while completing 78.6% of his passes. Jayden Johnson was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards.

Fairfield had a senior duo take command as Imari Carter rushed for 77 yards and three scores and Tristen Smith threw for 154 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes. Carter is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fairfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Foothill will face off against Burbank at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Fairfield, they will take on Sacramento at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
