Softball Recap: Fredonia Lynx vs. Red Mesa Redskins

Fredonia put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They never let the Red Mesa Redskins onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Fredonia sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Vasey Yellowhorse made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Yellowhorse was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Gracie Castor and Emmie Tait did most of the damage at the plate: Castor scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Tait went 2-for-4 with five RBI, a run, and a double. Castor hasn't dropped below three hits for four straight games. Finlea Lathim was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Fredonia's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9-1. As for Red Mesa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
