Basketball Game Preview: Culpeper County Blue Devils vs. Spotsylvania Knights

The Culpeper County Blue Devils just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Spotsylvania Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Culpeper County came up short against Chancellor and fell 63-55. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Spotsylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 91-33 loss at the hands of Courtland. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Cougars are ranked 176th).

Spotsylvania's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Culpeper County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything went Culpeper County's way against Spotsylvania when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Culpeper County made off with a 59-35 win. Will Culpeper County repeat their success, or does Spotsylvania have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
