Recap: Franklin Learning Center Bobcats vs. Nueva Esperanza
The Franklin Learning Center Bobcats were the 82-48 winner over Nueva Esperanza when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Learning Center suffered a rough 69-49 defeat at the hands of Nueva Esperanza on Thursday. Franklin Learning Center has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Franklin Learning Center saw an underclassman step up: Kadeem Martin scored 15 points along with 4 blocks. Martin scored a full 30.6% of Franklin Learning Center's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keymir Hargrove, who scored 10 points.
Franklin Learning Center's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nueva Esperanza, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Franklin Learning Center will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkway Center City at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Parkway Center City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. As for Nueva Esperanza, they will head out on the road to face off against Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomas A. Edison and Nueva Esperanza are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
