Softball Recap: Mechanicsville Takes a Loss

Mechanicsville's last matchup with Caroline could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Mustangs came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 16-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mechanicsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Caroline, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsville will head out to square off against Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caroline, they will square off against Chancellor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
