Basketball Recap: Carolina Christian Takes a Loss

Carolina Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through an 80-49 loss at the hands of the Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.

Leading Mountain View Christian Academy to victory were Dalton White and Joshua Owens. White went 11-for-21 on his way to 23 points, while Owens went 9-for-18 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Spencer, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 11 points.

Carolina Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Carolina Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mountain View Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Emmanuel Christian on February 28th.
