Basketball Recap: Promise Tracy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat King William

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buckingham, Nottoway was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They secured a 37-32 W over the King William Cavaliers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-35 back in December of 2024.

Nottoway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Promise Tracy, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Hailie Turner, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

Nottoway's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for King William, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Nottoway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-44 defeat against Lunenburg Central on the 24th. As for King William, they will challenge King & Queen Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
