Basketball Recap: Pillager Huskies vs. Crosby-Ironton Rangers

After flying high against Menahga last Friday, Pillager came back down to earth. The Pillager Huskies took a hard 63-46 fall against the Crosby-Ironton Rangers on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Crosby-Ironton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyle Spencer out in front who went 9 for 14 on his way to 21 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Millsop, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Pillager's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Crosby-Ironton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-10.

Pillager will welcome Bertha-Hewitt at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crosby-Ironton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Aitkin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
